Yoga teacher tip 04
Hey new yoga teachers! Let’s have a real talk moment. You’ve poured your heart into your training, crafted beautiful flows, and are so excited to share your passion. But here’s a truth you’ll learn quickly: you can’t please everyone, and that’s okay.
Someone might find your music too loud, another might want more hands-on assists, while someone else prefers a completely different style of cueing. It’s just the nature of the beautiful diversity of yoga!
Instead of trying to be everything to everyone, focus on:
Authenticity: Teach from your heart, in a way that feels genuine to you. Your unique voice is what will attract the students who resonate with your style.
Clarity: Be clear in your class descriptions so students know what to expect. This helps manage expectations and attract the right students.
Growth: Stay open to feedback, but filter it through your own intuition and teaching philosophy. Use it as a tool for your own growth, not as a measure of your worth.
Connection: Focus on creating a welcoming and inclusive space for those who do show up and connect with your teaching. Their experience is what truly matters.
Remember why you started teaching. Your passion and dedication are what shine through. Don’t let the impossibility of pleasing everyone dim your light. Keep sharing your gift!
xx,
Shana Katherine
